Jim Wood joins the “Medicine Show” for the first time and brings with him a wealth of musical experience and talent. Jim is a Texas native who has lived over half of his life in the mountains of North Georgia. Jim became a member of the “Georgia Mountain Fair Band” in 2003, and was part of the group when it was inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame  in 2004 . He became the band leader when Fiddlin’ Howard Cunningham retired  in 2008, after 55 years in that position. Over the years, Jim has worked with such major recording artists as Jerry Reed, Ray Price, T. Graham Brown, Brad Paisley, Marty Stuart, Bellamy Brothers, Gene Watson, Joe Diffie and the Statler Brothers. In addition to the “Georgia Mountain Fair Band“, Jim fronts his own group “Dixie Fried” formerly known as the “Woodpile”, that plays a wide variety of musical genre’s from traditional country to rock and roll. His current record is entitled  “ The Smoky Mountain Man”.

“Hawkproof Rooster” aka Nancy and Charlie Hartness, along with special guests Beverly Smith ( of Beverly Smith and Carl Jones) and legendary 92 year old fiddler Earl Murphy,  will team up as the “Gentleman Jack String Band”  for the first time on the Medicine Show stage. These Athens Georgia musicians get together for a weekly music session in Earl’s kitchen, and play and sing a grand selection of old-time and early country music that will take you back to the Golden Age of Radio.

Camp Creek Committe

“Camp Creek Committee”  will join the Medicine Show for the first time. This North Georgia based group consists of , Casey Cochran on guitar and vocals, David Kennedy on banjo, Roman Gaddis on mandolin and Adam Rambin on bass. This disciplined Appalachian roots band has moved just a little  to the wild side, in the vein of the “Old Crow Medicine Show” and is influenced by some of the later day greats such as the Grateful Dead, Steve Earle and Robert Earl Keen , combining old and new into a pleasing mixture of  music all their own.

The "House Band" for the last 2 seasons of the Mountain Music & Medicine Show, with  members Melanie Pruitt - vocals, Elaine Holibitsky - vocals, Christy Bottoms - vocals, Clyde Gaddis - guitar/vocals, Doyle Butler - mandolin, Jack Taylor - bass,they will be sure to get the crowd going with their popular renditions of country, bluegrass and gospel songs.
